In These Streets (Baby Boy and Me Edition)

When I was pregnant, my husband and I visited one of his old college friends.  She already had 2 children and we were discussing our anxieties about life changing after baby.  She simply informed us "that the baby would adjust to our lifestyle".  Fast forward to baby being here and 20 months old (sorry I hate using months too, but when  you simply say 1 someone always asks for specifics).  I digress.  Luca is here and quite a ball of energy.  Before he was here, I used to have days off where I just ran errands.  I literally went from one place to the next trying to get things done so I could feel accomplished at the end of the day.

The major difference now is that these activities are centered around my son.  It's a balancing act but the trick is "to wear him down".  Just letting him hit the backyard or taking him to the park, doesn't seem to work for my baby and this weekend my husband is away for Saturday and Sunday so it's especially challenging but I already have a few things on my agenda.

I really wanted to take him to a petting zoo but it seems the weather won't cooperate and it will most likely rain so plan B....(insert drumroll) The Brooklyn Children's Museum!!!!  I've never been so I'm excited but my husband has taken my son for a birthday party and there is a world of fun and engaging activities so that is where we will be after I get the bird's nest that is my hair together:)

Are you at a complete loss for what to do with your child or children this weekend?  Go to this amazing parent blog for tons of amazing suggestions.  Many of them are even free.

We ended up going to Green Acres Farm - an amazing petting zoo that my so absolutely loved and I definitely was not dressed for but C'est la Vie.  I hope we can go back again before they leave.
